GAPS is a support group run for all those thinking of adopting, or perhaps raising the child of a friend or family member. It can be a daunting time and we are here to help with advice, an understanding ear and lots of coffee and cake. Our team is made of supportive guardians and adoptive parents so we know what you are going through. We meet on the last friday of every month at the Balsam Centre in Wincanton between 12.30 and 2.30pm but we are available to contact my email all month.
Making A Difference
Setting up for a child can be expensive. Especially when that child is unexpected. Our aim is to take donations of items and clothes for children of all ages. If you are able to help, please get in contact with us.
Help and Support
At GAPS, we are dedicated to stepping up our efforts in addressing this issue. It can be the most daunting, to take on someone else's children, or seeking to adopt a child. Our aim at GAPS is to offer help and support to ease the journey.
Are you a social worker? solicitor? experienced guardian? adoptive parent? maybe you can help those going through this experience. Can you offer some of your time to come along and talk to those who are maybe starting this journey? or to talk to those needing further advice once their journey is started. Maybe you are a business who can help with donations? Please get in contact with us and let us know how you can help.
